Nationwide meltdown of broadband services

A nationwide outage of broadband Internet services was experienced yesterday at around 10:00 PM (Philippine Time) and is expected to continue until 11:00 AM today.

It is presumed that, since this outage is credited to faults in one of the nation's few submarine data cables, this outage affected all broadband users in the country.

I can't yet confirm which submarine communications it was that failed, but I can fairly certainly speculate that it was the Asia-Pacific Cable Network (Japan, Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia)
